Picked up my '03 Touring yesterday. Dealer installed (actually salesman) cargo cover but it won't stay extended, keeps rolling back. It appears that the tabs that should slide into the latch aren't long enough. I've tried tugging on them to see if they were just pushed in too far, but doesn't seem to help. I thought I had read this somewhere but can't seem to find. Dealer is 80 miles away so I'd rather not have to take back. Any suggestions???

This may be the thread you remember seeing. Read it all the way through, there are a couple of cargo cover issues covered. I think this is the post that talks about how the dealer fixed this particular case.

My selling dealer was 500 miles away and when I picked up the car, my freebee cargo cover was back-ordered.
So they UPS'd it to me when it came in. It came in, but was the wrong color. So we had to do another UPS exchange.
Might call and ask if you can UPS it and have them UPS another.

If I am not mistaken there was a thread not long ago about this very problem. If memory serves me correct I think the dealer "packed" the back pillars so the space between was smaller. I remember just shaking my head at that one. I would send it back.

Thanks for guiding me in the right direction everyone. Talked to the salesman and he is checking with their service and parts dept. Will probably just exchange and see if that helps. My husband suggested duct tape -- no way!!!!
