I have noticed that when slowing down from about 60-70mph. that the transmission will downshift pretty hard sometimes. I took it to the dealer and they said this was normal. I also had an integra back in my college days and it did the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this before??

I could feel transmission shift down a gear sometimes, but none of them are consider HARD one. And most of them appeared around 40~50 mph on my 'X.

I had asked a similar question a short time ago. After the great posts and some research I did conclude that the Grade Logic Controller was at work. Kinda freaky feeling on a new vehicle to be revving against your will but I assure you it is normal. Now when it does it you will smile and say "Man this thing never ceases to amaze me"

Thanks for the replies!! I just am not used to all these crazy issues with a new vehicle that's nearly $40,000. I also have a chevy 1500HD LT CrewCab 4x4 and don't have any of these issues with it and it was a $38,000 vehicle. Just disappointed I guess. Gas tank slosh and brake caliper noise...NORMAL????? Acura thinks this is acceptable??? oh well!!! Maybe they read this board and will come up with some fixes for these things.
