Does anyone have any news on any fix yet for this problem, discussed before, but not recently?
Problem is: Your outside front side windows are wet from rain or a car wash. You roll them down, then back up again, and the inside gets wet squeegeed water all over, sometimes minor, sometimes major.
This hasn't been brought up in a while. Did I miss a thread, is this not happening to anyone, or is it just being accepted until some fix or TSB comes out?
How about you new 2003 owners? Can someone try this on a 2003 after rain or a car wash and report?
Thanx for any info. |

Wow.. This is new to me.
I only get WET from outside part of windows, never inside. |

| I have had my 2002 since mid-June and only recently(past month) noticed this problem - exactly as you describe it. |

| I have a 2002 also and have the same problem. It doesn't cover the entire window though just a small area towards the front corner. |

OK !
Never mind a fix, which would be great; but it would be nice to see if any '01 & '03 owners have this also. I know previous threads spoke of this problem a while back, so lets hear from all of you. |

| I still have the exact same problem. I have not been to the dealer in a really long time (I still have not gotten the Mirror TSB done, if you can believe that), but I doubt they have a solution. |

I haven't had such a problem. It's a timely question, because we in the Bay Area are now experiencing the first significant storm this season. My X is a tight as a drum. |

This was posted awhile ago as a problem, but I have never had wet inside the windows. The outside will get wet, but that happens with every vehicle I have owned.
Try doing a search - I am not sure if this was ever a big problem or how it was resolved. |

I have a 2003 and have experienced this problem now for 2 years.
I have checked with 2 different dealers and have been told that it is a design issue that has no solution. I was originally told that this was due to the outside and inside seal were touching thus transferring the moisture once the window was rolled down far enough.
I soon learned that they were "all wet" when I experienced this after only rolling down the window less than 1".
Now I simply carry a towel with me so that I can keep dry if I need to roll down my window.
I am somewhat relieved to learn that I am not alone!
Thanks for your posting. |
