LOL - good topic. We just finished watching the show. I liked it better early on, when there were more women and a guaranteed trainwreck every episode.
I think he's gonna pick Helene, and here's why:
- He told Gwen he was "in love" when he dumped her last week
- He mentioned that after the first 2 dates (w/Helene and Gwen) that they were a lock. (Obviously, that changed after the Brooke date)
If Gwen/Helene were the "locks" and Gwen was tossed, then must be Helene. She's the only constant, and "stuff like that. heh heh heh heh." No way he fell in love w/Brooke in 1 date. Of course, they didn't show what happened after their bath.
Then again, it could be the editing to throw us off. |

I think Helene. She has kind of played hard to get and I think she has been a challenge for him. Plus I like her:D , but that doesn’t mean squat! My wife keeps bringing up Brooke’s age but we end up agreeing she appears to be quite mature for 22. As parents of 25 (mature) and an almost 20 (not) daughters, Brooke puts on an appearance beyond her years. BTW a couple weeks ago one of the Cleveland stations ran a story on what’s up with Brooke’s dad but we missed it. What is the scoop?

I totally agree. But seems to me that the real Loosers are these women that throw themselves at this guy because he looks good and has some dough. He must be laughing it up, while having a great time.
As far as his bank goes, I read in an article that the bank has actually experienced an increase in deposit accounts as young women have flocked to the bank in hopes of seeing him! |

Several weeks ago, when he visited the girls families, Brookes Dad basically threatened to do bodily harm, via an uncle, if he hurt her. Of course this was tongue-in-cheek - wasn't it?
Speaking of the visit to the families, I was not too impressed with Gwen's; seemed to be very strained relationships. |

Yea I think you were right. I recall my Step-Father telling me before I was married, that you do not marry a person but a family. That is so true. I am convinced that Aaron dumped Gwen because of the family problem. If he is at all concerned with Brooke's family then his picking Helene is a no-brainer! |

I have to admit I am addicted to the show. It is definitely trash TV, but fun to watch.
He really made a big mistake, though, by eliminating Gwen last week.
That said, I don't think there is any question he has chosen Helene to be his wife. Why? I have no idea. She has nothing to offer.
Apparently, the bookies had to close betting on this because a lot of people from Texas were placing bets on Helene. They must have the inside scoop. This show IS taped a long time in advance! |

| My husband told me yesterday that he heard there was a possible leak in who won. He said that there was some kind of bet in Vegas for this, and all of a sudden yesterday there was an enormous increase in odds favoring Helene. |

There is an internet gaming site that was taking bets on the outcome of "The Bachelor" and the maximum bet you could make was $300. One day last week, the site was overwhelmed from bets from Springfield, MO where Aaron is from, all taking the maximum amount of $300. with every single one of the bets being on Helene. This led to the speculation that there was insider knowledge. Betting was suspended on the website. Apparently, a radio station in Springfield started the rumor that Aaron and Helene have been seen together in Springfield, however, ABC insists that even though they have been together a few times since the big decision, it has not been anywhere near Springfield. Do you have all that?
My guess is Helene, because she has been very much of a challenge for him and hasn't fawned over him or cried tears of emotional anguish. My husband and I are two of the people who think that he made a big mistake in dumping Gwen. We'll see what happens on Wednesday!! |

Since taping finished a couple of months ago, Buerge and his bachelorette have gotten together only a couple of times, once outside the country, to limit exposure. Their conversations take place on "a secret, scrambled phone line," he says. We're still seeing each other exclusively" is all Buerge would say about his choice during a recent chat between a morning of 25 satellite interviews and an afternoon full of TV appearances.
Buerge says he had a great time on The Bachelor, even considering friends' jokes about the cheesy rose routine, but he advises viewers there wasn't as much make-out action as might have appeared.
"I did kiss seven out of 25, which equates to about one a week," he says. But "if they have three cameras on a romantic shot, they can make it look like a kiss that was three times longer than it really was or three different kisses."
There wasn't any hanky-panky beyond what viewers saw during the exotic dates with the last three bachelorettes, either. "It was just kissing and hugging and dancing," Buerge says. "We were afraid to do anything that would jeopardize our careers."
The show wasn't all fun and games. Some of the emotional conversations were bruising, he says.
Buerge says he hopes for the best with his new relationship but won't say whether the finale ends in a proposal. "We should make sure we're doing the right thing. It's safe to say if we were to be engaged at the end of the show, that would be reason for a lengthy engagement." |

I saw an interview this morning in which he said that there was no contractual obligation to get engaged as a result of the show, and he strongly intimated that there would be no engagement as part of the show tonite.
When asked "Why put yourself through all this?" He responded that it has been a two month vacation of his dreams. Whisking off here and there in limos with different women, staying in first class diggs.
He said that he has had a great time. |
