| I upgraded my 03 with wood shift knob and ordered wood meter trim. However, I am not sure if I want to change my leather steering wheel - I like how it feels. But I do like the luxurious and finished look that wood adds. Please could somebody share thoughts on practicality of wood steering wheel? How does it feel comparing to leather one, how does it look, does it get too hot/cold? Thanks for your input. |

| I recommend getting the wood steering wheel. It will take a little while to get acclimated to the slightly thinner and slicker wheel, but you will get used to it. IMHO it looks a lot better. I have one, and like it!:4: |

Normally, I wouldn't recommend it. . . but however, this past weekend I test drove an RX300 with my mother (she's the one buying) and it had a wooden steering wheel.
Well, it only took that one time to drive it and I'm going to order mine for my MDX!
BTW, the Lexus did drive much quieter but it was way too small for me and my family. |

| Thank you both! I think I'll go for it: $390 is not too bad but it makes interior so much more upscale looking. |

| Did anyone notice that the wood steering wheel is not available as an option when you build an MDX in SBP/Quartz interior on the Acura site? I would assume it is because it would have to match the interior and they don't have them to match the Quartz yet. That is a bummer since I think I want a wood steering wheel. |

Thank you for the link. I have 03 so I think it will not match my plood since this one is for 01-02 which is darker. Good price though. |

Yeah, I noticed that too - posted a note about it a while back here but did not get any insight as to what's going on...:confused:
I hope it's not held up too long, I'd like one as well (and if I decide to lease, I'd like it on the vechicle when I get it...) :3: |
