For those interested, let's try to start a Group buy for a DVD ES. . .
I propose the following. . . let's try to agree on a set up.
1. 8" flip down- minimum 600,000 pixels.
2. FM modulator.
3. DVD/MP3/TV Tuner.
Any suggestions? |

For #2, why not use the Blitzsafe AUX RCA in http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/show...=&threadid=7860 for a better sounding RES? Just a suggestion. |

I just had the Audiovox VOD806 installed - I recommend it.
8" screen, DVD, TV, MP3. DVD player with screen all in one unit on the headliner.
Total was $1,900 installed with FM antenna, 4 upgraded wireless headphones and seperate RCA jacks installed under the back of the center console for gameport or VHS input.
The installation shop, Audio Express, moved the overhead lights back to accomodate the unit (which also contains OH lights).

| $1900 is a little too pricey for me. . . why not try something under $1000 |

| Yeah the price is up there. Tweeter has a nice Pany DVD ( plays mp3 ) entertainmen for 999 complete. Overhead, player and two wireless. AND THIS IS A PANY. It looked better than the alpine that was next to it. |

| I want to be part of the group buy. I would like to give a possible canidate model. There is a fold down 13" from Rosen that is under $800. We don't have to get a 13", but it sure would be cool. I also like the pioneer but anything over the 7" pioneer is expensive. |

See my "Video Install" thread below. It has price list of all components I installed. You can easily upgrade to bigger screen and Blitzafe AUX and still come out under $900. I do have the Blitzafe but haven't got around to install yet. Too cold!!! Thinking of adding new stuff anyway, so i'll most likely install in one shot. Suggestion on # 3, get a DVD player that will play all formats (i.e. SVCD, VCD, mp3, etc.). That is the reason i got APEX.
