| I just saw an awesome bull bar made by westin. Unfortunately, they do not seem to make it for the X. They do make it for the CRV. It looks like a fairly simple bar, does anyone think it could be modified to fit a 03 X. |

Do searches on bull bars, topic was quite popular. So far Manik is the only one that's make a custom bar for the MDX.
But there are a couple of other ones that are supposed to come out soon. Or so we hear. |

| I checked out all the previous threads with bull bars and there are some amazing potential bull bars (photoshop is amazing). I was just wondering whether anyone knows how the westin bar is secured in order to custom install it onto the X. I still have till early jan before my X arrives. |

Someone in NYC did modify a bar (I think Westin) to fit an MDX. Special brackets. There is a post on it just a few weeks ago. I asked if this shop would be interested in modifying more for the rest of us desiring a bull bar.
I never got a response. |

| Thanks for the info. I found the previous posts and there is more than enough info. I think I like either the Westin or the Go Rhino bar. I will probably order one and see if I can somehow get it installed locally when my X arrives in January. That is if no one else does it by then. It seems like it would be a fairly simple thing to do. Thanks again. |

Good luck, let us know what happens.
I suppose you could return the bar as long as you haven't modified it. Just used an external bracket of some sort.
I will be interested to see what you find out. I like the Go Rhino Step Bar....(since I have the hitch step from them...) |
