I found that the driver side ride is more rough that the passenger side on my 2001 MDX. The driver side seat tends to pass road information(bumps, joints etc) much more louder to a point that it gets quiet truckish. The passenger side ride is really smooth. I noticed this only recently when I was travelling on a familiar rough road as a Passenger(I am the designated driver almost always). I found the ride to be very smooth on bumps and road joints. I wonder if this is a problem or a feature(more sensitive driver side shocks/seats)?
Has anyone experienced the same problem? |

| ... however I rarely sit in the passenger side. When I am in the passenger side, it is usually on long trips and I see no difference. |

When we were looking for a new vehicle early this year we eliminated the TL and RL because of uncomfortable passenger seats. The TL was slightly better for me that the RL. Neither model had 8 way passenger seats even as an option??? At that time I did not even know the MDX existed and the dealer didn't mention it even though he knew seats (8 way passenger) were important to us.
Then we happened upon a used (01) MDX and took a test drive. We were very impressed with the seat comfort, passenger and driver, as well as the excellent car like handling ability of this SUV. Bought our new MDX a few weeks later.
The MDX passenger seat and drivers seat comfort was very important for us and helped make our buying decision. |
