Tim,
Acura dealer's MDX accessory book says the hand-free cell phone adapter will be available in 2003 for 2003 MDX. Do you know when it will be available and what is the price? Thanks.:) |

| How would a cell phone interface adapter work? Is there some kind of jack somewhere? |

From what I understand it will work in combo with the Nav and Radio system, thus allowing you to talk over the phone handsfree using existing mics and speakers in the vehicle. It might be what gets connected to the PC Card slot in near the Nav system.
I believe it will not work with MDX's prior to '03.
Hope that helps....but it might not be accurate, since ACURA hasn't released any info....this is merely speculation.
take care |

This may help.
Don't be a guinea pig with the Acura interface. I purchased the OEM interface kit for my Pilot earlier this month. It didn't work properly, and I wasn't the only one this happened to. I use the Speakeasy kit from Precision Interface Electronics (http://www.pie.net/speak_easy.htm) and it works great. You can even adjust the volume level and gain on the unit. I have one in my '95 Accord and my Pilot EX-L RES.
Good Luck |

Does anyone have current OEM cell phone interface information on what and when Acura plans to have something available for the 03 MDX.
Thanks,

Steve,
How much did the whole setup cost? No problems making it work alongside your audio setup (you had the Blitzsafe stuff, right?) |

neide,
The Speakeasy cost around $ 140.00 total. That was for the control module (I think @ $ 89.00), wiring harness (PIE-SE-HON98 @ $13.98), ear bud & LED (included with module), and adapters for my Nokia 8260 (PIE-SE9 @ $13.98) & 6360 (PIE-SE2 @ $13.98) + shipping.
I ordered mine from http://www.audioetc1.com/ by phone @ (800) 236-1851.
The Blitzsafe interface adapter is a separate entity. It is only used for my CD Changer & XM Radio. I think it was around $ 98.00 from a local stereo dealer.
I had no problems at all! |

| this seems to be a great kit if your cell phone has bluetooth. no need to unclip your phone and plug it in. Also, will work simultaneously with 3 phones |

Acura Strikes Again. I've been holding off buying a new cell phone pending Acura's February availability announcement.
Has anybody heard anything new/reliable about the availability of the 03 cell phone interface kit yet??
Thanks,

Hi Vcolangelo:
___I did see the kit listed and pictured in the latest Acura accessory binder at the dealer the other day although it said for March or April delivery? I should have been paying more attention but I don’t own a NAVI …
