Hi all, this is a great forum.
I removed my spare and found that where the tire contacts the lateral cross member there is a groove worn in the tire due to it being pulled up tight against the cross member. Have any others noticed this? I am taking the MDX in to the dealer this week and will complain but was just wondering if anyone else had this problem? I'm concerned about sidewall damage if and when I need to use the spare. |

I have driven trucks for twenty-five years (wife will be driving MDX) and anytime I had to use the spare that had been mounted under the bed the tires have always had "dents" in the sidewalls. I have never had a problem using it as a spare, but I also have never rotated the spare into prolong use on any of my trucks.
