I know that part of the optional wood steering wheel is leather and that this leather part should be color coordinated to the leather interior.
Does anyone know if the wood steering wheel is available yet, one that will match the quartz interior on the 03 MDX?
If not, when? |

Hey, what's your delivery story. My yesterday date turned into today, and I'm still praying that I have it by Thanksgiving. Are you going for any of that 3.9% AHFC money. Have you now seen the "SBP (SGP) inside pics only" Quartz Leather posting; I'm happy that the seats look gray (and not silver), but I hope the dash and steering wheel are darker gray and not a cheap recycle of Ebony parts. The unannounced 2-tone effect, unseen in person, would piss me off if it's not in keeping with the well coordinated and well advertised design of the Ebony and Saddle interiors.

Not sure if you've seen this thread yet. But the interior is 2tone somewhat and IMHO, not that appealing.

| I have seen the SBP (aka 'Slate') in Canada, and although I don't have one in front of me at this time, I do not recall a two tone effect. I think it might have been the poor lighting of the photo. Let's reserve our opinions about this until we get better evidence... |

I am supposed to pick it up today as it arrived at the dealer yesterday. I do not think I will finance the deal. I did see the quartz interior briefly through a closed car window in a dealer's lot and did not see any 2 tone effect. I should know for sure today. Please ask your dealer if they have the wood steering wheel or an estimate of when they will have it. |

I saw the quartz interior for the first time after I actually bought the car. It is two tone. The lower interior and carpets are light gray. The upper dash and steering wheel are black ( I think it is the same as the ebony or it actually is the ebony). That may be why there is no wood wheel in quartz. You have to use the ebony wood wheel because the rest of the wheel and upper dash are actually ebony in the quartz interior car.
I like the quartz interior alot anyway. |
