| Also try the Kodak DX430. It is a 3 megapixel camera, takes really good pictures and the interface with your computer is really easy. I think you can get one for about 299.99. But once you add up all the accessories, the price is about 500.00. |

I just picked up the Fuji FinePix F601Z with docking cradle for $403 shipped from onecall.com. I also picked up a 128MB SmartMedia Card from Best Buy on Black Friday for $30 no rebate. I can store 400 1M megapixel images on it which is great for web.
Reviews on this camera are very good. |

It is very hard to get a quality digital camera fully equipped for under 300.00. Most of the cameras all require aleast a 64MB memory or 128MB memory for proper usage on a vacation(unless you are planning on only taking about 24 pics. during your entire vacation). The memory cards along range from about 50 - 200, and then there is the travel charges and USB docking station. |

I also recommend looking at the Canon Digital ELPH's.
They come in durable, very compact metal cases and have some high-end features like autofocus assist (for low-light situations). When I was looking for a good, simple, but useful camera for my in-laws, I found that the cheaper Nikons lacked such advanced features and were relatively plasticky.
The S200 is only 2 megapixel but that should be enough for shots up to 8x10 as long as you do not crop severely. It should go for slightly under $300, while the 3 megapixel S230 should go for above that. |

| Take a close look at either the Canon S30 or S40. They may be more than you $300 budget, but either would an excellent choice. I recently bought a Canon G2 and in retrospect, which I has the smaller S40. |

___Zafer’s Steve’s Digicams site is about the best on the net for overall feature sets and comparisons. Not that many would opt for this digital camera but I believe there was a 3 MP CX4300 Kodak for $154.00 at Wal-Mart over the weekend? Might I also suggest that you start looking at the Hot Deal sites for the best deal? Here are just a few …___Be careful however as you may just end up spending more than that $300.00 on other items besides that camera ;)
___And as for that Olympus C50 5 MP … $569.00 w/ free shipping from J&R … Yep, another Hot Deal from Tech Deals today ;)
