Hey guys,

I have a 2002 NBP Touring MDX with navi, wooden steering wheel, dash and shift knob. Also has rear wind deflector and front deflector and chrome side steps by Manik. Also has the cargo tray and net.

The car also has a 7" widescreen roof-mounted video system and also a DVD player and TV receiver/antennae. The video system is also stubbed with cables for a second video device (PS2, etc.). It has the conversion to play the video in the front navigation screen and the whole thing can be controled via a remote eye for the DVD located in the left center air conditioning vent. Has three sets of RF wireless headphones too.

Everything works perfect and the car is in excellent shape, just a couple of scratches on two wheels and a couple of small scratches to the paint that can hardly be seen.

My question is what I can get for it? I am going to need to reduce my cost of living soon and I need to get $40k at least so I don't know what the market really is out there. It has 15,000 miles on it now.

Thanks.

IMHO, it will be very tough to get 40K for the SUV. As you can almost get a brand new 2003 fully load with nav and res. for about 42000. It would probably be best if you could part out your accessories and sell them on ebay or other private buyers and then sell the truck, this might help you recoup some of your losses. Or better yet, try to find a private buyer who is willing to pay extra for all the special work done for you car. I think you might be able to sell it for about 32 with all you options and accessories. Just MHO.

I agree with kishino. Trade/private party price is $32.5/$34.0 (according to Edmunds) and you won't get much back on all of that after-market stuff. I'd be advertising to sell it fully loaded and also be trying to sell off the parts in case you you have to pull the plug real fast.

For a 2002 with all those accessories your best bet would be private sale. I would say you are in a decent market (Atlanta)for selling it. I would ask $35,500-$36,000 and see where it takes you. Everyone knows the accessories are hard to make back what you paid. Do consider selling some of the accessories seperately. The Maniks will not get you any more for sure so sell them seperately. Good luck. Remember you are now dealing with the 03 but due to lack of availability I am sure someone will bite. Um, $32,000????? Still a very desirable car in the market with low availabilty. Besides if a low milage 02 drops $8000+ in less than one year that is paving the way for large depreciation for the 03. IMHO.

IMHO, you can sell it privately for about $35-$36K. Check out

Cheapers 2002 T / NAVI is around $37K.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Looks like $36 on the high side. No way I could go $32. Looks like I'll just sit on it for a while longer.
