2. Will it fit nicely under my driver’s seat? (what about passenger’s seat?)
3. Do I need any other thing except installation kits in the box?

| For what it's worth, I mounted ours in the glove box instead of under the seat. There are some pros and cons to this location, but I'm glad that I put it there after about a month of usage. You may want to consider that location as well.... |

Crutchfield is the only authorized e-tailer for Alpine Products. (You can even call alpine directly, and they will confirm this).
If you do not care about possible warranty issues, Etronics probably is a lot cheaper. (WHen I called Alpine about Etronics, the rep said, "We have no idea where they are obtaining out products. We would like to know as well." |

Even though Cicuit City is brick-and-mortar they still sell Alpine products through their website too.
Prices on Ebay for Alpine products are roughly 25% below retail but as others have mentioned - you take a chance. |

(1) The Alpine CHA-S634 is the latest model.
(2) Should fit perfect under the driver's seat.
(3) I would recommend the 08B26-S3V-200 CD Changer Attachment Kit to ensure that it mounts perfectly (I own a 2003 Pilot EX-L RES and used the CD Changer Attachement Kit P/N 08B26-S9V-100 from College Hills Honda (practically an identical kit to the Acura kit) and it was a snap to install.
(4)You can follow the instructions easily
(5)I would recommend it, because it will be easier with the supplied base brackets of this kit.
(6) I don't believe that you will need to drill holes without the kit; however, you will need to find an alternative to the left & right base brackets included in the kit.
(7)If you install the CHA-S634, you will need the Alpine KCA-130B (Circuit City-$ 9.99 + tax)
(8) I bought my CHA-S634 on eBay a few months back for aroung $200 + shipping. I've not had one problem...don't see the need to spend $299 elsewhere (As long as you pick a reputable seller).
(9) 30 minutes maximum installation (this includes removing brackets for Head Unit)
(10) You can use the controls for the CD Changer in the same way as you do the CD on the steering wheel. The only difference is that you will have to use the Head Unit to move from disc to disc.
I purchased an Alpine CHA-S634 6-disc CD Changer and connected it to my Pilot with a Blitzsafe HONDA/XM DMX PIO.1D Adapter and an Alpine KCA-130B (Ai-Net to MBus). This Blitzsafe adapter has dual connections: 1 for the Alpine CD Changer & 1 for a Pioneer XM Tuner Connection. This eliminates the need for any FM modulations.
The interface adapter has all the necessary plugs for power and connectivity for the Pioneer 903XM unit (IP-Bus Out cable and Power supply cable) as well as a plug for an Alpine CD Changer. The only additional plugs used are the ones coming from the XM antenna (I would recommend the Sony antenna) and the controller unit supplied with the Tuner.
All plugs are included for power and function, and you can toggle between the CD and either the Changer or XM Radio using the CD/CD Changer Function. If you want to go from the CD Changer to the XM or vice versa, you press the track up then track down very quickly.
If you just want to connect just an Alpine CD Changer, I would recommend the http://www.blitzsafe.com/blitz_cata...alp_dmxv1.html.

| I'm having trouble figuring out which BlitzSafe connector you mention above - the one with both connections. Can seem to find that exact one on the Blitzsafe site. Can you help? |

The last time I checked, the Blitzsafe HONDA/XM DMX PIO.1D was not listed online. The easiest way to order it is by calling Blitzsafe @
(201) 569-5000. They will be able to guide you as to which interface adapter you need.

Funny, now the site seems to have listing for the others.
Can I ask, did you install the XM tuner as well? Can you control it at all through the steering wheel controls (I take it you did get the Pioneer)? |

neide,
Yes, I did install the Pioneer GEX903XM Radio + the Alpine CHA-S634 on the same interface adapter myself. The only control for the tuner on the wheel is to toggle from AM to FM1 to FM2 to Cassette to CD to CD Changer, etc. and volume adjustment (As Standard).
When the XM unit is selected, the Head Unit reads 1-99 . You then select the channels from Pioneer Controller Unit. If you want to change from the XM to the Changer, you press the "+" track button then the "-" track button quickly...and vice-versa. This feature allows you to toggle between the Changer & the XM easily (This can only be performed using the Head Unit). |
