The Chrome Side Steps are just trickling in to Hondacuraworld, meaning that today will be the last day of the pre-buy. If you've thought about it, you have until first thing tomorrow morning to place your order before the price goes up.
Chances are I won't have the opportunity to actually open them and post pics any time soon as we're trying to concentrate on getting orders out the door more than anything else :) |

Although we have an ice storm forcast for tomorrow, I can't wait to get my order and get what I hope will be sharp looking side steps on our SS X. Maybe the weather will warm up (melting the snow we now have on the ground) and get a bit drier!!
Thanks Tim, I was about to ask what the status was!! :2: |

| Thanks, Tim! Glad to hear the steps are coming in...was beginning to wonder when I'd get them! Thanks again for your awesome service and great prices. So we should expect them sometime next week, I presume? |

Just so everyone knows, we have confirmed that every order that was placed with us will be cleared, with no backorders. However, it looks like I got just about every set they had off the bat! I do have about half a dozen sets not spoken for, but everyone that pre-ordered, you did the right thing!
A lot of dealers are going to be VERY disappointed :2: |

Nope, haven't seen them. The 3 sets I did get went out as fast as they came in.
They are coming to me from Torrance CA, so hopefully today or tomorrow. Besides which, they are packed pretty heavily and I don't know if I want to compromise the box integrity by opening them, since every set is now sold.
Which is a good segue to my next comment: if you haven't placed your order by now, chances are they won't be available for some time. I am now all sold out, and they are showing backordered with Acura. I have to call in to find out a future release date, which I will do if I have chance (but doesn't concern me much since my orders appear to be covered). |

For those interested in the Black side steps, we have 3 more days to try to get another interested party who prefers the Black color. In addition, we should qualify for Tim's Group Buy offer if he/she expresses interest on the following link:

talked into going in on a group order if you're willing to wait a bit and the other Tim is willing to do it again. I will be waiting for a few months for the good ship MDX to come in to port....:1pat:

OUTSTANDING! The UPS truck just dropped off my Chrome side steps. Thanks Tim for the timely shipment. Looks like I'll be busy Christmas morning. Will post new pics after the install.
Well done Tim, you are THE man! :6: :29: :18: |

Tim,
I received the chrome side-steps yesterday and there was one screw floating around. It turned out the thread on one screw-hole on the chrome step (used to pre-attach bracket) was messed up. I could not even get the screw to engage and I think it was shipped unbolted.
I had to buy a $25 tap/die thread set from Sears and re-threaded the hole (it was 8 or 9 MM) and I think it's okay now. Hopefully, it will be okay when I install it.
Also, do I have to torque 17 lb-ft the screws that is pre-attached to the chrome bracket? It does not say on the instructions. It does say so for the short and long-range flange bolts which are inside a sealed platic bag.
thanks,
