Due to a cut in the sidewall, I have to replace just one Cross Terrain. Now that my local tire store, Americas Tires has finally received one as noone else had them in stock, I want to know where to put it, front or rear.
I have 30K on the other tires now and it was the right front that is bad.

| My tire girl always tells me to put it in the rear. Now is a good time to rotate your tires and bring the rears to the front. |

putting that NEW tire on the rear will give at chance to "wear down" nice and smooth, so that when you do switch it to the front (next rotation) the critical fronts will be as close as possible.
Putting the new tire on the front would mean that the OTHER front tire is MUCH more worn ,and that difference MIGHT lead to uneven braking. |

I'd buy two and put them both on the front.
I'd take one of the old tires and mount it as a full size spare.
My 2 cents worth .... |

Let's see..."My tire girl always tells me to put it in the rear."
Q: Is it anatomically possible for one person to put two in the front? |

When I getting the new tires from Costco. They would only put the new tires in the rear. [Unless you get more than 2. @_@]
They had brochure that Michelin states the new tires are best to mount in the rear. |
