Yes. Yes! YES! Please (as Hockeyplayer requested) walk over to an '03 Nav, flip down the player DVD-cover, eject the DVD, saunter over to the 02, eject its DVD and place the 03 in it. Reboot the system (turn off the X and then re-start?) and let us know if the system recognizes the DVD.

Please??

Guys thanks for the step-by-step on checking the Nav system compatibility :D

Unfortunately, I do not have an '03 Navi in stock in which to test. I am planning to test as soon as it arrives in the next week.

I'll keep you posted.

I asked this same question at my dealership (Pohanka in VA) last week while in for an oil change. They said it was one of the first things they tried when the first '03 MDX/Nav arrived. They took the '03 Nav DVD, put it in an '02 with Nav and nothing happened. It wouldn't boot. :(
