Recently took a 2 Day PhotoShop class and my wife tells me that they unleashed a beast. I can only show decent pics here of what I have done, but let me just say, if you can dream it, it can be done.

Here is a pic of my MDX up on vacation in Maine. Well, it is my MDX after the PhotoShop class.

Will post some more fun pics soon.

Hey, it's the convertible-third-seat model :D.

Now we will have to scrutinize all of the pics you post ... is it real or is it photoshop!!

You better stop that. . . you're gonna have people demanding that!

Hey Mushman,
Add door handles to the middle seats. Or is that some kinda safey feature? Nice job. Keep up the good wook. For your next project I want you to take an X and make it a woody.

LOL - keep it up, they're going to revoke your Photoshop license! :D

Here is another "PhotoShop" pic of my trip to Maine.

OF course, I hope everyone knows who is watching over my X - hint... better than god.

Looks like someone was paying attention when they were teaching "adding layers and changing opacity". Nice PShop work.

Hey Mushman,
Take off the tires, make the rims a little bigger and put the X on train tracks. Insert a good old fashion steam engine behind the X, add a Mr. Fusion to the X.
Nice work.

Yeah, I surely paid attention in the class. Of course I was sent there for my job, and I guess I could apply this to some of my work stuff, but the whole time in class I was thinking how I could really have some fun with this.

The best part was putting my wifes head on Yoda's body. I just laugh thinking about it.

Oh well, snowing and raining here in NY today, so stayed in for lunch and imagined what the MDX would look like with factory Dubs and a 2-Door version. What was real funny is when I compressed it, it actually looked like a 2 Door RAV4. Wonder if there is one team in Japan that develops a model, then some manufacturers buy a compressed version, whoever pays more gets a full size, and the high bidders get the extended version. Hey, you never know.

I wouldn't want to hit any deep pot holes with those tires.

i have a quick question ... i never took a photo shop class i pretty much learned everything on my own ... and reading FAQ's from random websites ...

but one thing that puzzles me is the 1st pic that you posted where you removed the back end of the mdx to make is look like a mini escalade ext ... how did you remove the back and still show the trees in the back ground like it was never there ...?

my guess is that you placed the mdx in that background ... aka your mdx was not in that original picture ... am i right ... or is there a trick to filling in the background when removing a object ...?

by the way here is one of my creations ...

It looked to me like the trees were copied from the right side of the picture above and to the right of the hood. Then probably smudged a little. Overall it looks great!!

phins2rt,

You are correct. Photoshop has a feature called stamp. You basically select that feature (looks like a rubber stamp), then hold alt and click on the trees to be copied. Release alt, just start filling in the white area and it copies where you originally clicked with the alt.

The picture is an original at the white mountains on the Maine/New Hampshire border. We were up there in October and just happened to find a nice spot to have lunch. Of course I took a lot of pics of the X while everyone was chowing away.

Also, I know the trees are kind of obvious when looking close, but I did the entire first pic in about 5 minutes.

mymdxiscoming,

If you have any PS questions, let me know. I basically learned myself but the 2 day course helped bring a lot of things together. The key is also working in layers.

yeah, thats how i work around filling in areas ... i usually get a original background ... then layer everything esle on top of it ...

but the rubber stamp thing you are speaking of is new to me ... i might have to try it out ... it sounds like it could save me tons of time ...

i spend most of my time creating album covers ... i post a few later ...
