Whoop! There it is! :2:

Finally took delivery of our 2003 Midnight Blue Pearl MDX with Touring and Navigation pkg. This is after months of research (been on here since May '02 but started reading even before that) we finally made the decision to order the car in September, initially we couldn't decide between the Sandstone and the Midnight Blue but you can see what the final result it and we have no regret for the choice. 4 months in waiting and had a little problem with delivery (see my post at http://acuramdx.org/forums/showthre...elivery+problem), but now the car has finally arrived and we are enjoying every minute with it.

Thanks to all who have helped with providing information, helping with making decision, etc. I can only hope my next vehicle purchase will be less painful (oh the "waiting" kills me) but still have such a helpful group of people for advice.

Because of our little delivery problem, I arranged with the dealership to add on the Wood Meter Trim option free of charge, and put my MDX on a flatbed and truck it to my house which is over 100 miles away. Kelly Ritchie at Niello Acura in Sacramento has been really pleasant to deal with and has been really helpful with providing updates, etc. My wife and I also got a pair of Acura keychains and MDX travel mugs (not sure if these are standard, just thought I would mention it).

Tim's delivery of Cargo Liner and Cargo Cover was just on-time. I'm planning to add the All Weather Mats, Painted Rear Spoiler, Acura Chrome Sidesteps, etc.

Anyways, here are some quick pictures for you all to enjoy. Being in the Bay Area, I have seen many MDXs around but not a MBP just yet. :2:

MBP looks great...but, having just picked up our Sagebrush Pearl from Kelly on the 29th of December, I have to say I like ours best :2:

We opted to take the drive to the Central Valley to pick up our new X (have family in the area to visit) and did receive the keychains too, but did not get any travel mugs...Kelly must have liked you better :D

Would recommend Niello Acura to anyone - worked with both Kelly Ritchie and Gary Riley - both very professional, easy to work with and straight forward - we had no problems or complaints.

Look forward to passing on the streets of the bay area - wave when you pass

Congrats! I really like the blue, too :D

thanks for all the congrats and compliments. :D

besides the combination of new car smell and the difference in ride height that is making me a little car sick, the MDX is a great ride. :29:

i have to say the Navi is *REALLY* cool ... just like the heated seats we got in our Audi A4, the heated seats and navi will now be options that we will get in all our cars. :D

i'm so glad the car arrived just on time for all the sunny weather in the Bay Area. picked up my first order of Zaino from Steve (really nice guy to talk to), i guess i know what i'm doing this weekend. :2:

NICE RIDE!!!! I forgot how beautiful MBP is, since we've had nothing but snow the past 2 weeks!!! She's horribly dirty, only the top is marginally clean!!:( The side steps will blow you away, they look so fantastic with the MBP. Thanks for the inside pics of the X, I also forgot how clean she was when I picked her up a month ago!! Happy driving:D

it's finally here. I placed my order on 11 October 2002, thats 12 weeks and three days(Monday will be our first date). Actually I can't wait at this point, going by the dealership first thing in the morning to take a peek:2:

After reading over some other long wait stories and seeing others receiving their vehicles it was making me grow more impatient. BUT IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!

2003 Nighthawk Black Pearl, Touring, Navi, RES, Black Side Steps, Wood Steering Wheel. And thanks to Tim, cargo cover, cargo net, burl wood shift knob, all-weather mats, wheel locks, moon roof visor, cargo tray. Which is or was suppose to arrive this evening. I starting to think everyone is testing my patience.

We are in the middle of a snow/ice storm so I will have to take pictures before I drive it off the lot.

Not twice in one night. UPS just arrived with my Tim accessory package. Let me go and take a peek into the boxes.

I'll keep you all updated...

Thanks for the support.

Nice X - look very similar to the one I plan on giving its first bath to this weekend. I applaud your choice of color. Look forward to seeing you on the Bay Area roads - where are you located?

What dealer did you work with? good experience?

And...with this first bath, what are you going to be doing with regards to waxing? going the Zaino route or McGuires or other? just curious.

East Bay. Got it in Concord. Nice dealer. Very smooth. Love this car!

Nice. . . shouldn't Niello Acura be giving you a discount for this free advertising?

Henry-
Beautiful 'X, MBP is a beautiful color...especially in the West Coast sunlight :D

Guru-I'm jealous; I'd like to be doing that to my SBP but I think it would turn to ice pretty quickly  It's OK, the dealer does free car washes in their heated garage, so I'll just take advantage of that
dmyles
I was at the dealer having an oil change done this morning and saw a TL in that color driving off the lot. It was striking in person.

I'm jealous!! :D

2002 Acura MDX!
Hi everybody, I didn't chat with you guys for 2 weeks now and now I'm back:5: !!! I Like the colour Midnight blue but I really don't like the colour of the leather. Having a special order will be very expensive and weird.
ndahbar
Thanks Henry, yeah that's what I was looking for, however, more precisely, a pic like this one would be great:
