| Well, the local pep boys ran out of HID conversion kits, and i really dont want to place a technology not especially made for the mdx electrical system in my SUV so these two reasons have me opting for bulb replacements. The HID system on my Lexus really is a doozy, and i would like a similar look on my MDX. Apparently i hear alot and see alot of pictures of RAzos, and Sylvania silverstars and an occasional philips blue vision. But, as i am aware the stock bulbs run at 51 watts, and on alot of the website i visit, they place bulbs with something like 55wt=100 watt, what does that mean? Finally, which bulbs really do put out that white, slightly blue tinge of light? PIaa extreme whites? Piaa exterme plasma? piaa yellow ion? Helolite bulbs? On xtremelighting.com, they say helolite bulbs put out that look of the lexuses and benzes, and follow a 55 wat= something pattern. I just want feedback on the best and safest bulb to put in my x, and still get that factor of cool illumination without an offset in light coverage at night. I heard PIAA do the light coverage well, but about the color.... |

| The best 9006 bulbs you can get are the PIAA 5000k from Japan. They are hard to find and expensive but I did run across a couple places on the net that stock them. |

How many watts is that PIAA 5000K? Do you have to change the fuses? |

| They are somewhere around 115w I think. They get really hot but not enough to melt your harnesses or lamp housings. You don't have to change your fuses but they are not approved for on road use. Although I've heard that aftermarket HID kits are not approved for road use either. |
