| i was supposed to pick up my new MDX this past monday from hopkins acura. as far as they can tell, it's sitting across the bay in richmond waiting to be trucked over to the peninnsula. this appears to be a burgeoning problem. michael andrews (my sales guy for the last 3 acuras i've bought) it about ready to tear his hair out. he's lost 2 MDX sales in the past week because of this... |

does hopkins know what the delay is? there seem to be some weird traffic issue from richmond to the rest of the bay. i had ordered something from tim and it arrived via UPS. the tracking showed that my packages arrived to the richmond hub on 12/27 and it didn't show up to my door (fremont area) until 1/2. my parents lives in a new development area in richmond which overlooks the UPS richmond hub, i can drive from my house to my parents' in less than 1hr. :3: :confused:

no, they do not know... *i* presume it's a residual of the west coast dock strike that never happened... it might be related to the teamsters controlling every truck that leaves the richmond distributorship. hopkins has tried everything to make them deliver to no avail. as i said before, michael andrews has lost at least 2 sales this week due to this situation. they are supposed to have 9 MDX's incoming and they were supposed to be there last monday. i'm putting off my trip from texas until next sunday night... |

Everytime i call they keep saying its delayed, but i do know that my X had been built from vin check up. They don't seem to know what the heck is with it! don't they have some way to track it like a package? at least give me an estimate as to where in the country it is at! I gave up calling them first and in hope for them to take the initiative to call me at least as to update me on the situation, but they never do! this is so mess up. :mad: 2 weeks! arrg
the distance from canada to Ohio is not that far! unless the truck driver is somehow taking his freaking time to deliver things! gosh d@mn it. pardon my language.
forgive me all for my complaining, this waiting and bad service from the dealer is making me a tad too excited and anxious! |

I've never had problems with any other dealer, until I bought my X. I've always been treated well by everyone, as any customer should. What makes Acura so different? :3:

I have been getting the same runaround from my dealer here in Florida. Originally supposed to be delivered 12/18 - 12/22. When the 18th rolled around I was told there was a delay and my X wouldn't come for another 3 weeks.
Then on December 23rd I stopped by to check on things, and my dealer told me the factory would be CLOSED from December 23 until January 6th. He told me to call him January 4th for a build date.
I called him January 4th and he told me my MDX WAS BUILT on 12/31 (while the factory was supposedly CLOSED). He didn't have a VIN# yet, and I'm supposed to call him back for that this week.
I have NEVER had such a frustrating experience trying to buy a car!
WHERE are MDX's built, and DOES the factory really close during the holidays? What is the truth????

| I had to wait a week for mine. I got the direct feeling that the info the dealer was feading me was totoally bogus in every way. They told me a given model and a given color was comming in and when that tiem came up, different colors and models were in. I think they sure feed a line of bull. Lucky for me the model and exact color I would have prefered to have came in so I got real lucky. |

make sure your salesperson and his/her managers know exactly how unhappy you are with the delivery. hopefully they will be understanding of your troubles and perhaps throw in a few accessories.

I actually waited over 90 days for my dealer to get what I wanted in the color I wanted. I wrote a letter to the VP of Acura about why it takes so long. Of course I didn't expect a answer but he answered very quickly and wanted me to call him. I didn't because I didn't want to hear more bull........... then after I signed the papers it still took over 10 days to deliver it from Canada. I asked the dealer if some old guy was pushing it down from up there ! Heck I can drive there in a day.
It's very frustrating but after you get it you'll be so happy you'll forget about the wait. :4: |

| oh great news! first of i got my chrome steps from TIm (beautiful) and called dealer (i did, not other way around) and told me it should be here tuesday or wednesday! i hopes its for real this time.:D |
