| Here's something that helped speed my decision to get an X. Just got a call from my dealer, one more week to go. I now have a serial number.... Yahaaay ! |

I assume that pic is of your car. Sorry! Hope everyone's OK.
Don't do that to your MDX. :( |

| Fortunately (or should it be unfortunately ?) I was the only one in the car at the time. Injuries were limited to my left leg (triple compound fracture) and have had me bedridden for the past two and a half months. As I said to my Physiotherapist today, whatever happens, I have to be able to get into a car by the end of this week to go pickup my X on Saturday morning. Believe me, I have no intentions of doing this to my new X ! (now the old Grand Cherokee, maybe). Just kidding. |

Hey SuperKal,
Good to read your OK. What did you hit? What is the makeup of your X? Congratulations and be careful. |

SuperKal,
Good to hear nothing really serious happened to you!!
Is that a A6 or A4? Looks like the A6 :29: |

This is a picture of my much adored (ex)A4. I was innocently driving along when someone coming the other way decided to take a left turn into a side street. Apparently, he did not see me at all and turned right into me. He was driving an 89 Ford Tempo and suffered many injuries (broken foot, leg, arm, wrist, 4 ribs and a cracked sternum). I was really lucky but my leg injuries have taken me out for the last 2 and a half months. I ended up requiring an external fixator with numerous pins and wires drilled into my leg from my ankle to my knee (I will spare you the pics).
My soon to arrive X is a 03 in Slate Grey with hood protector, sunroof wind deflector, tailgate deflector, cargo cover and wheel locks. I plan on adding HID asap. |

Hi SuperKal:
___I am glad to hear that both of you suffered only relatively minor injuries as it could have been much worse given the looks of your Audi.
___As far as your incoming X is concerned, I think you would have done a might bit better in that accident if you were in an X instead of the A4.
___Good Luck and enjoy that Slate X. I love that color!

SuperKal:
Glad to hear you're on the mend and will be up & at 'em very soon.
I had the same type of accident in our '98 4Runner. A '98 Mazda 626 turned left in front of me (I had a green light, she didn't), I ended up T-boning her in the passenger door, the person in that seat had a cracked pelvis. A 2 month old baby was in a car seat (thank God) right behind this person and was not injured. My sons and I ended up with very minor injuries for the speed and type of accident. Our vehicle was totalled, hence why we now own an X! All we could say about the 4Runner was it protected our family like it was designed to, the crumple zones worked, the engine dropped down away from the cabin . . . What can I say but seat belts and air bags save lives!
We look forward to pix of your new, and very safe, X. Congrats on a wise purchase indeed! |
