| Do you think Tim of HondAcuraWorld will give further discounts? After all, his prices are lower than acuradriver.safeshopper.com or any other Acura parts/accessories site or store. |
|
|
|
Okay, let's see.....
To be able to give further discounts on MDX accessories, I'd have to be able to cut my biggest expense....shipping. Here's my suggestion. If you can place a group order all going to one address via area MDX clubs, I may be able to cut an additional discount based on the size of the order. This would be a win-win because it would give the local clubs a chance to meet and become better acquainted. What I would suggest is to post something in a local MDX club thread and have one representative of the thread give me a list of what you want to order, and if all shipped to one address, it should be no problem!
Talk amongst your local MDXers and see what you can do! |

that sounds great Tim. Is anyone out there interested in a club in the Portland Oregon area. I know there are alot of us MDXers on the street but don't know where you are.

PDXMDX...
Uncle Mikey here... Roots are in Beaverton. I went to School in Buffalo NY and have purchased my accessories from Tim already. All of the other stuff was at a great discount, and I even had the dealer do the installation on the things I didn't want to touch.
I am considering the nose mask and cargo tray, so if we can work together I would be willing. I work at home, so I can easily accept the deliveries if we can get a group...
I will also send a message to the Admin asking for a Northwest Club to be set up.
Let me know...

What did you have to pay to have them put on some of you accessories? I am not sure that I want to mess with the fender flares that I ordered. I think that I can handle install on side steps and flaps but the flares make me nervous.
We live in the Cedar Mill area and work near hwy 26. Have you noticed alot of MDX'x around lately. Where are they all coming from? With only two dealers in the area I've been surprised at the number.
the only options that I am seriously looking at are wheels and tires because I got the base model.

| I think they charge $75 per hour, and each accessory has the standard time allotment. I would discuss it with your salesperson and see what they can do in terms of any discount... I didn't get much! |

I would like to know what the mfg. of the roof rails that are on the MDX had in mind for accessories other than the ski holders and bicycles. It seems to me anything else would have to be a mickey mouse hook up.

I am looking to get:
burlwood shift knob
moonroof visor
cargo net
cargo cover
Tim, do you think any of these items will be a part of your monthly specials? Also, on your website, when I looked up the shift knob, it mentioned the burlwood or mahogany shift knobs, but in the shopping cart, you couldn't choose the type of shift knob to order. Overall, your website is great!

Problem is that the items you picked are things that are low priced already, and the fact that I ship for free leaves very little in the way of margin at the prices I'm selling at already.
As for the shift knobs, I only offer the burl one becasue the mahogany one doesn't match the interior color, and I'm afraid people that don't know that when they order won't be pleased when they install it. |

I'm interested in:
cargo cover
moonroof visor
tailgate deflector
wood shift knob
diecast model |

Hi Tim!
Will you be selecting the special item(s) of the month for April based on the demand from this website during the current month (March)? And can you re-post the extended Feb and the current March specials over here so all members can view...or link us to the correct forum?
Thanks! :D
|
|
|
|
For the most part I base specials on things that I'd like to see sell faster than they are, or perhaps the time of the season. My best sellers without a doubt are moonroof visors, rear splash guards, and all-season floormats. Problem is that those items are priced so close to cost I'd be taking a loss by selling them when shipping is factored in if they were discounted further.
And for those of you who missed the March acuramdx.org special, it is:
1. Fender flares, were $520, $475 this month only.
2. Extending of the Feb protection package special, which is cargo tray, rear flaps, and wheel locks for $145 shipped.
Please bear in mind that these prices are not valid on the website, and must be phoned in to me at (716)826-4109, 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.
BTW, I will not be available to take phone orders this next coming Friday March 16th after 10am. I leave this tropical paradise for White Haven PA to pick up my '59 Olds, but God willin' and the creek don't rise I'll be back in on Monday. Wonder if there are any MDX owners in that area.
Happy MDXing! |

In the near future, I am going to order side steps and a wood shift knob. I am also considering a cargo net and cargo cover.
FYI, a friend recommended I also check out body shops as a less expensive option to install the side steps and shift knob. When he installed running boards on his Explorer, the body shop was significantly cheaper.
Oops, I forgot, I want an MDX cap, too! |
|
|
|
| Hell I've got just about everything else now..I guess since my little vandalism episode, I'll need a Cargo Cover to hid my laptop from now on! |
|
|
|
| Hey Dan, you're not the only MDXer that has had that happen. I shipped a rear door glass to a customer in Cali that had the same problem two weeks ago. |
|
|
|
| Hey, while I'm thinking about this (and since this thread is Hondacuraworld anyway :D ), if anyone is interested I should have 4 or 5 available MDXs on my dealer's lot within a week. They are Canadian ones with aftermarket warranties, but rest assured, you will be able to purchase one with the same confidence that you purchase accessories from me now. If interested, drop me an email at hondacuraworld@aol.com, I don't know what exactly what they will be yet, but I believe one is a black tour/nav. |
|
|
|
Tim
If they're Canadian - then I don't believe they'll have the Nav - which isn't offered there.... they will have daylight running lights tho'.
Best regards... and I'll be calling you on Monday to place another order.

| thinking of ordering was the cd changer and perhaps the rear mud flaps. I really don't want to deck my MDX all out. Hubby doesn't like the flares and the wood trim stuff so I guess that's not an option. We are having the running boards installed at the dealer and I ordered the all season mats, cargo tray and cargo net when we signed papers with the dealer. Didn't know this website exsited until after we ordered our MDX. Oh well I know for the future now...oh yeah I would also like a nice chrome MDX license plate cover and perhaps a nice key chain! |
