Okay Folks, I'm new to this board, but I've owned my MDX since Feb of 2001. Two words...... LOVE IT!!!!

Now comes the bad news. It's time for me to turn it in. I would love to keep it, but it makes no sense since I commute via train every day.

It's a Black 2001 MDX with Touring Package, Ebony Intertior Cargo Liner, Running Boards, Premium Chrome Wheels, Wheel Locks, and in really great shape. Sorry, No Nav system.

I wouldn't say that I was out in the front of the house every weekend detailing it, but it was washed frequently, used only super premium fuel, regular recommended oil changes, and check ups. Here's the kicker. Only 18,000 miles!!!!! As you can see I didn't have a chance to drive it as much as I would have liked.

From reading this site, there are a lot of enthusiasts. It took me two years to figure out this site existed. Oh well, never too late I say.

Anyway, I would love to sell it to a fellow enthusiast, rather then giving it back to the dealer. I would hate that fact that a dealer would just mark it up several thousand dollars, and nab some sucker. It would be much nicer knowing it was going to a loving family, while giving them a fair deal. Of course I would want visitation rights :-)

I've gone on KBB, and Edmunds, but I'm more curious as to what you all have seen the price range going for.

So, The big question, "What's it worth???????"

Thanks....

Since this message, I've done some research.

If you were to go to a dealer for this car, you would expect to pay around 36,000.00 (according to KBB)

I am offering it for $31,900.00. That's basically what is left on the loan. I come out dead even, and may have enough left for a McDonald's Lunch. If you buy it from me, it will be my treat.

Anyway, I live in the Philadelphia area, and you can contact me via this site or email me.

Thanks for looking.....

If I wasn't getting a 2003 I would have considered your low-mileage MDX. Sounds nice. If anyone at my work is interested after seeing mine and looking for a 2001 - I'll give them your info.

Good luck with your 2003! I'm sure you're going to love it. Thanks for the word of mouth. Like I said, I'm not in a hurry, but would really like for someone to get a good deal.

Another good "real-life" resource may be www.cars.com, where sellers - both private and dealers have theirs listed.

I just posted my car on cars.com yesterday afternoon with a picture and had inquiries in 7 hours. I can't wait to get home tonight to see what kind of interest there is. $35 including a picture for 30 days and a free renewal for an additional 30 days. Not bad.

Thanks for the advice about cars.com. I'll take a look at it.

Do you have any pics you could post?

I am in the market for an MDX, but I haven't decided to go with new or used yet.

What color is the interior?

I am pretty psychotic about maintaining my vehicles as well. What condition is the paint in (with relation to swirl marks, scratches, dings, etc.)?

Thanks!

I Put a word in KenF's ear for you. Don't worry, he'll pay the finder's fee. Good luck :2:

To answer all your questions:

1. I could take some pics. My digital camera is horrible, only 1 Megapixel. I could take normal photos then scan them. Stay tuned, as the weather has been cold and misserable, so washing has been difficult lately. As soon as it gets above freezing, I'll be able to "spruce it up" and get some good shots for everyone.

2. The interior is Black (I think Ebony is what they call it) It's in no less then perfect shape. Not a tear/scratch, etc. What do you expect with such low miles :-)

3. The driver/passenger cupholder lid needs to be replaced. My dog thought it would be fun to chew on it. I am working on it with Tim from Acurahondaworld, or is it Hondacuraworld???. Either way, he say it's only about $35.00 to replace. This will be completed before I sell it.

5. The paint is in excellent shape. There is one very small ding on the rear tailgate (I'm guessing from a shopping cart) and a small one on the passengers side door (you have to look real hard for this one) You all know how tough it is to keep black looking it's best :-)

6. I took a look at the one on ebay. Well, it looks just like mine, minus the Premium Chrome Wheels. I like the fact that I'm 23,000 miles less. Maybe I'm too low???? Anyone?????

Well, as soon I can, I'll get some pics. It may be a week or so before they are up.

Again, thank you all for your insight and interest!

Cheers!
