I have '03 OEM High, Low and Fog bulbs for sale. They have been used for less than 1 hour before replacing with Silverstars.

$20 per pair, includes shipping.

Thx

I think you might have to drop the prices alittle. As most people can get the OEM bulbs at Pepboys, Auto Barn for about 6 or 7 each. Just my opinion.

I will be getting the Silverstars soon and plan on saving the OEM's as spares. They have very little value but would be great to have if on the road and a bulb went out.

Also some members have experience premature failure of the Superstars although that may have been caused by modifications. I don't plan on modifying mine.

I just recently got the $10 rebate forms. Had to get these from Sylvania because all the stores I checked either were out or were not aware of the rebate? They sent me a full pad, if anyone needs one let me know. $10 rebate is good till 6/30/03.

OK, I admit, I don't know anything about Silverstars... given the number of threads talking about them, I thought I should ask the question. Thanks.

Silverstars are bulbs made by Sylvania. They are brighter than the OEM bulbs, similar to HIDs. I think they are about 20 each, a good way to improve your lighting if you don't want to go the HID route. Also type silverstars under search and there will be many thread describing it.

David,

Silverstars are the "poor man's" alternative to HID's. Better visibility than OEM's although not near as good as real HID's. Many members have even modified the Silverstar high beam bulbs to fit the MDX low's and fog's slots to give even better visibility.

Do a search, "silverstars", and you will find hours of reading material.

It is brighter~~ It gives better visual on the road.

I got a pair of SilverStar bulbs from Advance Auto Parts back in November. It was $25 each, but 2nd one in half price. Plus $10 mail-in rebate that the BaldEagle was mention. And a big plus is I receive the store coupon for $5 off is spend more than $25 prior tax. :2:

If you are thinking to get some... you will need to get 9006ST for low and fog or 9005ST for high.

Thanks for the succinct answer. A search does bring volumes... your answers were exactly what I needed. When the X arrives, I'll have the bulbs waiting. And I'll take time to search for information, and consider adapting low beams.

thx for the feedback...did not know the oem bulb was so cheap.

price now $10/pair

It is expensive if you buy at the dealer. But it is cheap when buy in the auto part stores.

For those that are considering silver stars, take a look at the Eaglite SuperWhites. I compared the 2 side by side and am much more impressed with the Eaglites. The Eaglites are much whiter in my opinion. I have had them for over 1 year now and only had one out of 6 bulbs blow out. And if you check out ebay and do a search for Eaglites, you'll find a seller named midnightmoose that is selling them for $13/pair. I ordered some bulbs from him and he was excellent to deal with. Shipping was $3.85 for however many pairs of bulbs I wanted and received within 2 days. I also ordered the hyperwhites for reverse light, pretty cool looking.

Can you elaborate on your reverse light bulbs? What size bulbs did you use? Thx
lausy
The back-up light is 921. Just email midnight moose for a price. I believe I paid around $11 for the pair. When I ordered my Eaglite, I ordered the back-up lights also and they shipped them together for the same price.

I just got a set of MAX Gold Xenon bulbs (9006) for my foglights from mighnightmoose.com and they are great. I already have a set if Piaa yellow-ions and the MAX gold bulbs are much more yellow in color. I only paid $19.99 for the MAX gold bulbs and they are an excellent foglight bulb for those who may want to replace their stop white bulbs. Mighnightmoose also sells a Gold Ion 9006 bulb in both 55 and 80 watt for only $16.99.
