Very nice X, nice pics, but what is that accessory in the back? :12:

greatscot may enjoy poking fun at those of us living in colder and sometimes snowier (an unprecedented lack of snow in Minneapolis this year) but I'm sure I will need a long handled brush... where did you get your "accessory"??

I've seen them @BJ's.

Love that color!

Because we live where it snows maybe 2 days a year, I first thought that brush looked like a metal detector! (silly me!) :twak:

Seriously, your X looks great, enjoy it!

Beautiful Color. :29:

A warehouse club store like Sam's Club and Costco.

Actually, Chicago has had a very light winter in terms of snow (notice that all that's on the ground is a dusting), but still VERY cold.

But I always come prepared, so that's why I got a new snow brush/ice scraper for the unpredictable Chicago weather.

As to where I got it, I actually picked it up at Target!

Oh and here's another picture! :p More to come I'm sure!

Hopefully, Target will still have some on hand. I was in a store yesterday, and the lawn furniture was out already! I doubt any Minnesotan's are going to be sitting outside on the deck for the next couple months!

Not poking fun at you, just some light hearted humor, LOL
And I do like your X. :29:

Hi MDX4now:

___The school/church in the background looks familiar? With the Navi showing a Center street, are you located in the Grayslake area? My wife said it looks like a school she remembers in Bensenville so our guesses are as you expect, total guesses …

___I don’t see any white accumulation of salt covering your X yet? Those pics must be only a few hours old ;)

___Good Luck and enjoy your X now that its here!

xcel - Actually the church is in the Glenview area and I must say that for anyone afraid that their neighbors might think they're crazy for taking pictures of a new car, an empty church/place of worship parking lot does the trick!

Oh, when I took the pictures, the car was already 5 days old, but the reason why the car looked so good was because I had taken the new car to the car wash the day before and at the time, not much salt had been put out on the roads yet since it was such a light dusting.

Now I now for some of you it is a sacrilegious thing to take your X to the car wash, but here in Chicago when you have LAYERS of grimy salt all over your car and the temperature stays below 20 F for weeks on end, even the "do it yourself car wash" doesn't look very tempting.

I figure what's more important? The salt eating away at my finish? Or the fact that one of the car wash brushes didn't clean perfectly in my wheel grooves?

So I took my car to our local $3.50 Mobil car wash which cleaned the car pretty well. As long as the car wash gets the salt off and has soft cloths, I'm fine. I tried a touchless car wash once, and lets just say it looked like my dirty car was still dirty afterwards in addition to still having a nice dirt film all over my front and back windshield.

Now I can't wait till Spring when I can really scrub down the new car!

Oh on a side note, I can't tell you how pleased I still am with Libertyville. Completely professional, two follow up phone calls, nice salesman, free Acura pen :), etc.

To think I didn't even put a deposit down on this car till I got the phone call the day it came in amazes me. All I did was drop one email to them at the end of December, and ever since then Jerry my salesman was in contact with me wanting to know if I was interested, that they had one coming in, no forced anything, etc.

And if you notice, my MDX is "naked," too, so they never tried to tac anything on or through me for a loop. I still remember the old Libertyville, and all I can figure is word was getting around about how sleezy they were being to their customers and it looks like they've really shaped up! :) I still remember going their in October when they still had their $1,500 forced protection package.....

Hi MDX4now,
I like the interior shot you posted. That color is what? Sure isn't quartz. Very nice compliment to the exterior color.

Huh...? That is the Quartz interior (at least that's what mine looks like...)
greatscot
Sorry, must have been the camera lighting. I also thought it might be quartz, but it looked a shade green to me.

I'm really leaning towards this color since Granite Green was offed some years ago. Is that the Fern interior or is it just Grey?

It is just grey...
