Marketing Hounds...start your engines!! :)
What's the general consensus on a plan to contact various vendors for Group Discount information? We should be doing something to turn "wish lists" into reality. Right??
My first thought is for the individual who wants a particular item to make the initial contact, introduce the website and it's potential for mega business and try to negotiate a decent Group Discount rate or at least make them aware of this site and 'post' their results?
However, we might also have people who do not want to make the initial contact. Ideas???
We need to find other Tims' (for products Tim does not already sell...of course). :) |

I sent an email to Stongard.com on Tuesday (3/13) inquiring about group discounts and authorized installer on behalf of acuramdx.org, but I have not heard back from them.
Any suggestions/ideas? |

Hi MDX-R
I've been phoning first and asking to speak with the person in charge of group or corporate discounts. I've mentioned that the site is young, group is new and comprised of a captive audience of well educated consumers who have, or plan to, purchase a $40K+ automobile, thus generally good credit can be assumed. Following the purchase (and maybe before...*gulp*) is the anticipated fervor to dress up their new toy in accessories, etc. We're 600+ members (?) and growing everyday with hundreds of "roving guests" and a constant turnover of new business based on new MDX purchases, and maybe even other auto purchases. Members are intelligent (for the most part ;))resourceful and gravitate to the 'best deal' based on the power of the keyboard :) and it can be a great neighborhood or a rough neighborhood, depending on vendor quality and service. Networking members create their own buying frenzy...all they need is an attractive deal and quality product. **Gentlemen...the fish are biting!**
From there, I've mentioned the website and urged them to visit. I've phoned 4 or 5 resources, and should know more next week. I'm not making a career out of this...have other marketing biz to complete. But, I'm referring them to Daniel...for further info. I think once the connection is made...email works well. BUT...I think a quick phone call is the first step. IMO.
I also think that a lot of our members can introduce group discounts to their own contacts. If I was a vendor reading this post...I would contact Daniel...yesterday and nail an exclusive for a banner or better.
Just my 2 cents...I'm sure others have more and better ideas.
