Hello everyone,
I just joined today to this forum. Before today I was mererely intered in MDX. Today, I am interested in buying one after convincing my husband.
I am not very picky on color of the car and other small details as I am looking forward to buy MDX under a nice budget. I also have to sell/trade my Honda Accord 2000 EX with 30 K miles. It is in perfect shape. I drive back and forth to work and some times I drive my husband's car. I have tried to keep it clean.
I was looking for a used MDX on the net the other day and I found a 2001 for 24000 K miles on it for $32,900. I thought it was a little high for 2001 which was not even the touring or navigation package.
If someone is trying to sell their MDX or know someone in my area please let me know. I livin in state of New Jersey.

Hey there,
I have negotiated but not yet signed an agreement with a dealer (not sure if I can get out of it), but here is what was offered:
2001 MDX Base
38,000 miles
Emerald Green
Accessories: Fender Flares, Tow package (with coolers), roof rack, wheel locks, side molding
Excellent condition
The dealer offered me $28,250 for it (to trade in on a new one), but advised that he would need to certify it as "certified used vehicle" which would require sinking approx. $700-$1000, and then maybe a couple of hundred more for "cosmetic" prep stuff (clean, oil change etc.). So I expect that they would then put it on the lot for about $31-$32k.
My delivery for the new one is suppose to be mid Feb., let me know if this at all peaks your interest - but at least it gives you market data on a used one (to gauge my trade in, I searched Cars.com and Carmax and could find very few if any to guage value). |

Not sure I understand. This 700 - 1000 plus another couple hundred is his nickel, right? Probably, other than the hourly rate paid to the assigned detailer he won't put anything into it but still ask 32K for it.:D

congratulations in advance for your new car. Thanks for sharing your information and being honest. Well the price seems very interesting for the new base MDX but, adding all the other costs makes me wonder. Like nwaring said, it might be his nickel..... Try to bargain little bit more if you can. Hey I am a bargainer.... When I was buying my Accord I used to go to the dealer every week and when I new I want this car I used to go everyday for one that whole week.... :p
But, you know I am looking for touring/navigation package car deal possibly. I have never had any so called technical car so am very interested in it while I have the chance.
I guess I will keep looking. Once again thanks for sharing your info. Any help is greatly appreciated by everyone.

| You might be able to find something on Ebay. I noticed that a lot of X's are listed. Maybe find one in the NJ area. Also look at past auctions that closed with no sale and contact the seller to see if they are still looking to sell. You would probably get something cheaper than a dealer. |

Hey, I looked on ebay. Didn't find any MDX. May be I am not looking athe right place. Can you give me some advice. And how do you look at the past autions?

I just chesked and there are a bunch listed right now. I typed in Acura MDX not MDX.
To see closed auctions look on left sides of pages in box labeled "Display". You will see "completed auctions" as a choice. Slect it and you will be searching the same item you typed only for completed auctions. This is how I found my MDX.

| Search autotrader.com for acura mdx and expand to all of the USA and you will find some good deals, including one here in SOuth FL for a 2001 MDX Touring with 34k miles for about $29K (it says 29.9 but I know that they will take 29. The car is in mint condition and has the wood package. The owner is Jeff. Good luck. |

| On Ebay you can search under acura mdx and then sort by highest price and that way you will get the 6 or 7 on sale rather than looking at all the acura mdx lots which are many. Search completed items for acura mdx and then sort by highest price and you will see those that have sold. On ebay there are a lot of MDX from Canada, so be careful. |

May I ask you why you are not happy with your new Acura.. Is something wrong with the car or you just didn't like the way it is made and runs. Just curious you know. To see if that will make me change my mind on buying this car. I don't want to spend a lot on this car and not be happy with it.

I am also looking for a used MDX. I found the BEST place to find them is cars.com. Go to www.cars.com and search and you will
find quite a few. I am still looking but am not sure if I want to
part with my Lexus LS 400 [ 1999 ] yet.
